EV Incentives by State
State, utility and local EV rebates, tax credits and incentives across the US.
Federal EV tax credits have ended
- The federal new (Section 30D), used (25E) and commercial (45W) clean vehicle credits are not available for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025.
- The federal EV charger credit (Section 30C), including home chargers, is not available for property placed in service after June 30, 2026.
- If you acquired a vehicle on or before September 30, 2025 (a written binding contract and a payment), the IRS says you may still be able to claim the credit when you take possession, even after that date. Check the IRS guidance and Form 8936 instructions. For a charger placed in service on or before June 30, 2026, see the Form 8911 instructions.
The state, utility and local programs below are separate from the federal credits.
