Data Deletion
This page explains how you can request deletion of your personal data associated with your account on this site, including accounts created via Facebook Login and other providers.
What will be deleted
- Your user account and linked authentication accounts (including Facebook).
- Your active sessions.
- Your article likes and comments, which removes your profile association.
We may retain minimal records necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations, but these records will no longer be linked to your active user profile.
Requesting deletion from Facebook
If you signed in with Facebook, you can submit a data deletion request directly from your Facebook account. Facebook will send our system a secure request and we will delete your associated data.
You can also remove our app from your Facebook settings. Go to Settings > Apps and Websites, find this app, and remove it. Facebook may then send us a removal notification, which we treat as a data deletion request.
Requesting deletion from within the app
If you can still sign in to your account, you can delete your account and associated data from the account settings page.
Navigate to Account settings > Privacy & data > Delete my account and follow the on-screen confirmation. This will trigger the same deletion process used for Facebook data deletion requests.
Requesting deletion by email
If you cannot access your account but would like your data deleted, you can email us with your request. Please include:
- The email address associated with your account and, if applicable, the Facebook account you used to sign in.
- Any additional information that helps us locate your account.
Send your request to [email protected]. We will review and process your request within a reasonable timeframe.
